About the Learnership
AECI Plant Health is offering a structured Chemical Process Operator Learnership for young, motivated individuals who want to start a career in chemical processing and plant operations. This programme provides hands-on training, alongside theoretical learning, aimed at developing skills needed to work in a dynamic industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Chemical Process Operator Learner, you will be expected to:
- Participate in NQF Level 2 chemical process operation training
- Assist qualified plant operators in daily tasks
- Handle and manage the filling/emptying of bags, drums, and bulk containers
- Load and offload bulk raw materials and liquid chemicals
- Maintain general plant housekeeping standards
- Operate plant equipment under supervision and, when competent, independently
- Complete production and process documentation accurately
- Follow all safety procedures, including working at heights and in confined spaces
- Be willing to undergo forklift training
- Work shifts and overtime when required
- Adhere to instructions from the Production Team Leader and all safety guidelines
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this learnership, applicants must meet the following:
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science
- Basic computer skills (MS Office and data entry)
- Age: Between 18 and 25 years old
- Medically fit to work in a chemical plant environment
- Willingness to learn and work in a team environment
