Expanded Public Works Programme (12-Month Contracts)

The Limpopo Department of Education is inviting applications from unemployed South African citizens for Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) contract positions for 2026. These temporary roles provide workplace experience while supporting education services across various district offices in Limpopo Province.


Programme Overview

  • Programme: Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP)
  • Contract Duration: 12 months (fixed-term)
  • Location: Limpopo Province

Available Positions

1. EPWP Data Capturer (6 Posts)

  • Daily Rate: R350 per day
  • Workstation: Head Office – Polokwane

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • N6 qualification will be an added advantage
  • Computer literacy (MS Office and data capturing skills)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capture and verify EPWP data
  • Reconcile and maintain records
  • Prepare reports
  • Assist with data quality checks and documentation

2. EPWP Casual Labourers (53 Posts)

  • Daily Rate: R130 per day
  • Workstations: Various districts across Limpopo including:
    • Head Office – Polokwane
    • Capricorn South
    • Capricorn North
    • Mopani East
    • Mopani West
    • Vhembe East
    • Vhembe West
    • Sekhukhune East
    • Sekhukhune South
    • Mogalakwena
    • Waterberg

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be unemployed
  • No specific academic qualification required
  • Willing to perform general duties under supervision

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general office duties
  • Support daily operational activities
  • Perform maintenance and basic support tasks
  • Record attendance and report to supervisors

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Be unemployed
  • Reside in Limpopo Province
  • Be local residents for the post they are applying for (local applicants will be prioritised)
  • Youth, persons with disabilities, and social grant beneficiaries are encouraged to apply
