About the Programme
Evander Gold Mining has opened its External Internship Programme 2026, offering hands-on industry experience for recent graduates and diplomates in the mining sector. This structured, year-long internship provides successful applicants with exposure to real mining operations and the opportunity to develop practical skills in a professional environment.
Participants will receive a stipend for the full duration of the internship to support them financially while gaining workplace experience.
Available Fields
The internship is available in the following disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Extraction Metallurgy
These fields align with Evander Mines’ operational and technical requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a relevant qualification such as:
- National Diploma in Engineering or Metallurgy
- BEng or equivalent degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Metallurgical Engineering
- Be between 20 and 35 years old
- Be willing and able to work in a mining environment
Ideal candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong communication skills
- A good work ethic
- Adaptability in a mining environment
- Enthusiasm for practical, hands-on work
