I&J, a division of AVI Limited, is offering young South Africans 12 months of real work experience in their seafood and food production facilities in Cape Town. This is not a learnership, but it gives you hands-on workplace experience that can help you get a permanent job in the future.

Do You Qualify?
You can apply if you:
- Are between 18 and 34 years old
- Are currently unemployed
- Have passed at least Grade 10
- Are not studying full-time
- Are not on another government training programme
- Have never done a YES4Youth programme before
- Are okay with a background check
- Are okay with a medical check-up
What Documents Do You Need?
Make sure you have these ready before you apply:
- A recent CV
- A certified copy of your ID (certified within the last 3 months)
- A certified copy of your highest school certificate (certified within the last 3 months)
- A SARS tax number confirmation letter
- A stamped bank confirmation letter (not older than 3 months)
Missing documents will get your application disqualified, so prepare these early.

Is this a learnership? No. It is a 12-month work experience programme, not a learnership.
Do I need Matric to apply? No. Grade 10 is enough.
Will I get paid? YES programmes usually include a monthly stipend. The exact amount depends on the employer.
What if I did YES4Youth before? You will not qualify. Only first-time participants are accepted.
Can I apply if I am studying? No. You must not be enrolled in any full-time or government-funded study programme.
